Obituary

Adam R. Veillette, 34, of Chelmsford, formerly of Lowell, passed away at Brigham and Women's Hospital, on November 24, 2021 after a lifelong illness with recent complications.

He was born on January 25, 1987, in Lowell, he was a son of the late Robert J. and the late Ana M. (Mendonca) Veillette. He grew up in Lowell, was educated in the local schools, and graduated from Greater Lowell Technical High School, HVAC in 2005. He worked in HVAC in the greater Lowell area, before following his true passion, cars. He became an ASE Certified Master Automotive Service Technician, and an Automobile Advanced Engine Performance Specialist. He worked in several local garages, and had his hand; in several local hot rods, until health complications forced his early retirement. He loved being around cars, motorcycles, and had many friends in the Portuguese American Community.

Adam was a caring person who would stop what he was doing to go help someone in need. He had a brilliant mind and was able to fix anything. Adam was musically talented, he enjoyed playing guitar, piano and trumpet. He had a way with animals; they would flock to him. He loved spending time with his daughter and restored a car for her 1st vehicle. Even when faced with challenges he would stay cool, calm, collected and persevere. His calming presence would put others at ease when faced with troubles. We couldn’t ask for a better dad, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin or companion. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter Autumn-Sky Miranda of Lowell, his brother Curtis Veillette of Lowell, his grandparents, Manuel and Maria Mendonca, of Lowell, as well as his uncles, Virginio Mendonca of Chelmsford, John Mendonca of North Andover, and Steve and his wife Elizabeth Mendonca of Lowell.

He is also survived by his cousins, and many friends. In addition to his parents, Robert and Ana Veillette, he is predeceased by several aunts and uncles and cousins.
