Grandma Flora was 83 years old and passed away peacefully on November 27th, 2021 in Brockton, MA. She was born in Santa Fe, Colón a small town in Honduras on July 30th of 1938, her parents: Mrs. Catalina Ramirez and Mr. Inés Alvarez. She was the eldest of five kids. When she was seven years old, she moved to Roatán, Honduras with her parents and then when she was 14, they went to Puerto Cortés, Honduras where she grew up and raised her own family until 22 years ago when she came to the United States of America.
Flora was married to Jacobo Ruiz Martinez and they’ve been together for over 60 years, during which they procreated 16 children from which 7 of them survive: Olvan, Pablo, Dilia, Noé, Yolanda, Felipe and Kevin. A strong, hardworking, wise, humble, patient woman and a warrior who always faced adversity with grace, good temple and strength, which she instilled in her children, as well as the importance of forgiveness, generosity and patience. Everyone who knows her has fond memories with her and she was very loved by people in all the places she lived and visited. She loved music so much, singing, spending time with her family, shopping bags and shoes and telling awesome stories to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to her 7 offspring, she is survived by her husband Jacobo, her sister Graciela, grandchildren: Lillian, Fernando, Annette, Pablo Abraham, Tracy, Derrick, Candys, Sara, Samuel, Julissa, Michelle, Rudy, Kevin, Jacob, Dennise, Ian, Denzel, Gina and her adopted grand-children Taisha, Jamesa and Malachai that loved her very much. Also, her great- grandchildren: Braden, Kayleigh, Alaine, Mario and Alondra, Her son in law Cándido and her daughters in law Wanda and Malena.
A Funeral Service is scheduled for 9:00 am on December 4th at Funerarias Multi Culturel Funeral Home, 238 Court Street Brockton, Massachussets.
