Jane A. Guertin, 81, of Port St. Lucie FL, was called to heaven on November 23, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur R. Guertin.
They were married for 56 years.
Born in Providence, Jane was the daughter of the late Vincent (Jim) and Emelinda (Piccirillo) Ferrucci.
Jane was a lead preschool teacher for Head Start and Child Inc. before retiring in 2000. She cherished her time with family at her summer home in Matunuck. Jane relished spending time on the beach and boating on the water. Her favorite activities were sewing, cooking, and playing Bingo. She enjoyed singing karaoke and dancing to any band. Jane was known for singing “Crazy” by Patsy Cline. You could always find Jane with her best friend, Carol Potter playing the slot machines at Foxwoods. She always had the pleasure of traveling, especially sailing on cruises.
Jane is survived by her children, Debra Guertin of Port St. Lucie, FL (formerly of Cranston), Diana Strembicki and her husband Richard of Winter Springs, FL, Linda Beaudry and her husband Michael of Charlestown, RI and Arthur Guertin Jr. of Rincon, PR. She also leaves her siblings: Ruth Regnault, Carl Ferrucci and his wife Frances, and Joyce Barzykowski and her husband George.
She leaves her grandchildren, Amandalynn Shea, Zachary Valliere, Lindsey and Ryan Strembicki, Dehlia, Matthew, and Lucas Beaudry, Macy and Bella Rae Guertin. She also leaves four great grandchildren- Jacob, Molli, Emelia, and Olivia Shea. She was the Nana of the late Emily Strembicki. Jane was the sister of the late Alice D’Orsi and the late Vincent Ferrucci. She was the sister-in-law of the late Edmund Regnault.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 2nd at 10:00 in St. Matthew’s Church in Cranston. Interment will be in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Visitation respectfully omitted.
