Aldo Trapella, age 78, of Chelsea, formerly a longtime Medford resident, passed away on Tuesday, November 23rd, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Born and raised in Pontinia, Latina, Italy, he was the son of the late Angelo and Elsa (Corradini) Trapella. Aldo Immigrated to the U.S. with his family and worked as a Master Tailor at many clothing stores, including Brooks Bros.
Besides being an amazing tailor, Aldo was also a people-person. He especially loved his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed sharing in their interests and activities. Aldo also loved playing poker, and if not with his family, he was happiest at a card table. He traveled to his beloved home country ever summer to see family, and for years belonged to a bowling league. Aldo loved to dance, and he and his wife belonged to Ricordi Di Italia club, as well as the Arco Baleno Club. He loved to cook, and lived around the table with big family gatherings.
Aldo was the beloved husband of Amalia (Fustolo) Trapella, and the devoted father of Daniela Guarino and her husband Joseph of Mansfield, and Emanuele Trapella and Jimmy Trapella, both of Medford. He was the loving grandfather of Evan, Ethan and Ava Guarino, and Sky and Haley Trapella. Aldo was the dear brother of Miranda, Lina, Donatella and their families who all live in Italy.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, on Saturday, December 4th at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted and interment will be private.
