Madeline E. (Alcock) Whitworth, 101, of New Bedford, passed away on November 24, 2021 at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late Norman Whitworth, they were married for 52 years.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Albert and Madeline (Macomber) Alcock, she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. Mrs. Whitworth was a member of the Acushnet-Wesley United Methodist Church for 80 years.
Survivors include 2 sons: Norman R. Whitworth of S. Dartmouth and Thomas M. Whitworth and his wife Patricia of ME; a daughter: Elizabeth W. Audette and her husband Paul of N. Dartmouth; 2 granddaughters: Kathleen Yerkes and Christine Mak; 4 great grandchildren: Noah, Miles, Henry and Ruby; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Phyllis M. Newsham and sister of the late Everett Alcock and Albert Alcock II.
