DOWNING, Tracy (Smith) of Dedham, passed away on November 24, 2021 at the age of 62, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Mark C. Downing for 29 years, and devoted mother of Kyle G. Downing and Colleen C. Downing.
Daughter of the late Donald W. Smith and Norine C. Smith. Sister of Donna Lawson and her late husband James of Cumberland, RI, Brian Smith and wife Maureen of Westwood, Doug Smith of Falmouth, and Barry Smith and wife Karen of Bellingham. Adored aunt to her nieces and nephews, and a wonderful friend to many.
Tracy was born and raised in Dedham, MA, and was a graduate of Dedham High School Class of 1977, and Bridgewater State College Class of 1981. She raised her family in Dedham and spent many summers in Popponesset and Kennebunkport, and her winters at the hockey rink. Boston College holds a special place in her heart where she worked for 28 years.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home 456 High St. Dedham on Friday, December 3rd from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Dedham on Saturday, December 4th at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. The burial will be held at a later date.
