Joan (Fanale) Morana, a resident of Methuen, formerly of Winthrop, passed away at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. She was 79 years old.
Born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, on November 3, 1943, she was the beloved daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Fiore) Fanale. Joan was retired from Delta where she had worked as a Supervisor, for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and was a great bargain hunter. Above all, she was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
Joan is survived by her loving sons and daughter-in-law, Anthony K. Morana of Winthrop, and Joseph L. and his wife Janine Morana of Andover; siblings Bianca Hill of Marlborough, Phyllis Fiorillo of Atlanta, Georgia, Maria Holland of Fitchburg, and Joseph and his wife Patty Fanale of Bradford; sister-in-law Anita Fanale of New Hampshire; granddaughters Madison and Amber Morana, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Michael Fanale.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Lucy Parish, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen, on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 11 AM.
