Noreen Kathleen (Griffin) Ventola, a 15 year resident of North Reading and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly at Winchester Hospital in Winchester following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 55 years of age.
Noreen was born in Somerville on August 2, 1966, a daughter of Kathleen N. (Haggerty) Griffin and the late Richard E. Griffin. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at Immaculate Conception Parochial School in Malden and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1984. Noreen worked as a Receptionist Manager at the Charlestown YMCA for several years and prior to her illness, she worked as a Caretaker for her great-aunt for several years and also her late husband Anthony. She enjoyed crafting, baking and doing puzzles in her spare time.
Noreen is the beloved wife of the late Anthony Ventola. She is the devoted and loving mother to Michael R. Griffin. She is the beloved daughter of Kathleen N. (Haggerty) Griffin and the late Richard E. Griffin. She is the loving sister of Denise Griffin, and Richard E. Griffin Jr. and his wife Ginny. She is the loving aunt to Zachary Griffin and Lauren Griffin. She is the special friend of Debbie Everett. She is the niece of Dorothy Titcomb and niece and Goddaughter of Bob Griffin. She is also survived by her many cousins, friends and her beloved dog Bailey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Noreen's visiting hours on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 11 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. followed by her Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private.
