On the 22nd of November, beloved husband, father, brother and friend Jerome "Jerry" William Finn of Franklin passed away after a brave battle with cancer, at 66 years old.
Jerome was born in Westwood MA, October 9th, 1955. A graduate of Westwood High School & Northeastern University, with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He worked at UPS, rising through the ranks during a 33 year career.
Jerome met the love of his life, Kathleen Buckley, in 1984. They married in 1986, and this year celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.
When Jerome became interested in something, he was never a casual fan - his passions and interests would boundless and varied, from Boston sports (specifically the Red Sox), Nascar (Dale Jarrett #88, driving for UPS), Miller Lite, making people laugh, his beloved pets (Ginger & Olivia, and currently Caleb, Bingo and Charlie), Golfing, Birdwatching and so much more.
He is preceded in his passing by his mother & father - Lorraine and Francis Finn (Walpole, MA); his mother & father-in-law, Alma and Cornelius Buckley (Norwood, MA); and his son, Gregory, who passed in August of 2020.
He is survived by his loving wife and fiercest supporter, Kathleen Finn of Franklin, MA; his loving sons, Rob Finn of Franklin, MA and Brian Finn of Mesa, AZ; his wonderful siblings, Mark Finn of Norwood, MA, Ann Finn of Franklin, MA and Robert & Lauren Jesus of South Carolina; and innumerable brothers & sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, colleagues and loved ones - some local, some spread across the country, some international.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Wednesday Dec. 1st, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 4-8PM.
The family kindly requests that if unvaccinated to please wear a face covering while attending the wake.
His funeral service will take place Thursday Dec. 2nd in the New England Chapel 300 East Central St. Franklin at 11AM.
Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to The Jimmy Fund & Dana Farber Institute for Cancer Research.
