Gordon A. Walsh, Jr. 86, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully, Sunday November 21, 2021 at his home, following an illness. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Rockwell) Walsh, who passed in 1986.
Born January 25, 1935, in Somerville, a son of the late Gordon A. Walsh, Sr. & Bridget (Clancy) Walsh, he was a longtime Bellingham resident.
He was raised and educated in Somerville and worked as an auto detailer for the former Farrell Volvo.
A proud American, he served in the United States Air Force. Gordon was stationed at Kessler AFB, and attained the rank of Airman 2nd Class. He was honorably discharged in January 1959.
Gordon enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking in particular scrollwork, and playing pool, where recently he was awarded the Baystate APA Lifetime Player Award.
He was a member of the Bellingham Sportsman Club and the Franklin Elks Lodge #2136.
Gordon is survived by his children, Susan A. McTomney of Bellingham & Theresa A. Mezzadri and her husband Timothy of Bellingham, his sisters, Geraldine G. Mullen of Wilmington, Sheila Correveau of Maine and Judy V. Porter of FL.
Also surviving are his grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
He also leaves his extended family of his late companion Wanda Reid.
He was the father in law of the late Steven G. McTomney, who passed on Nov. 8th, and brother of the late John B. Walsh, Charles C. Walsh, Anna M. Duffy, and Shirley T. Farrell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wed. Dec. 1st, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a graveside service in Edgell Grove Cemetery 53 Grove St. Framingham, MA at 10:30AM.
Interment with military honors will follow.
