LACONIA --- Rose Marie (Gentleman) Myott, 88, of Blueberry Lane, passed away at her home, on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Rose Marie was born on September 18, 1933, in Lynn, MA, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Hoy) Gentleman.
She enjoyed watching the 700 Club, Jeopardy!, and Wheel of Fortune. She also liked word search puzzles. She was fondly known as 'Nana' and 'Little Nana' by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She had a wonderful quirk as she would rename people to whatever popped into her head. Metal Mark and Jesse both became Felix, Jose became Moses, and Hippy became Ghost, Hobo, and Phantom. We referred to this as her 'Nanaism'. She had a delightful sense of humor and a feisty Irish manner. She never swore but would use great sayings like "Jiminy Cricket!" and "Oh my Land!". She will be sorely missed.
Rose Marie is survived by her sons, Richard Myott of Laconia, and Robert Myott and his wife Joanne of Sanford, ME; her daughter Donna Cranshaw of Laconia; her sister Genevieve Pagano and her husband Ron of Beverly Hills, FL; her eleven grandchildren, Jason Myott, Josh Cranshaw, Janessa Cranshaw, Anthony Flynn, Rachael Auld-Moroni, Tim Myott, Robert Myott Jr., Angela Lannigan, Delilah Clapp and Charlie Clapp. She had numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rose Marie is predeceased by her daughter Debbie Clapp, her grandson Ronnie Cranshaw, and her siblings, Francis Gentleman, Bernard Gentleman, Leo Gentleman, Joseph Gentleman Jr., John Gentleman, Anna Gentleman, and Mary Sims.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
