Kathleen J. Lewis, 88

Kathleen J. (Conley) Lewis, age 88, of Mansfield, formerly of Taunton and Norton, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family on Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul R. Lewis, Sr., to whom she was wed for forty-three years at the time of his death on August 10, 2002.
Born in Boston, MA on December 20, 1932, she was a loving daughter of the late John J., Sr. and Anna M. (Flaherty) Conley.
Kathy grew up and was educated in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston and was a 1951 graduate of the former Dorchester High School for Girls. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past twelve years and previously resided in Taunton for six years and in Norton for thirty-seven years.
A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, Mrs. Lewis had also worked as a secretary at the Joseph C. Solmonese Elementary School in Norton and as a teacher’s aide at the Norton Middle School.
Spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren was the greatest and happiest part of her life. While living in Mansfield, she was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield and while residing in Norton was actively involved at Saint Mary’s Church in Norton, where her roles included being a Eucharistic Minister, teaching the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Kathy loved taking trips to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and being an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society and a member of the Foxboro Cancer Center.
She is survived by her devoted children: Paul R. Lewis, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Plainville, Gregory J. Lewis of North Attleboro and the late Susan T. Lewis. She was the treasured grandmother of Brian P. Lewis, Emily J. Lewis and Andrew P. Lewis. She was the dear sister of Richard M. Conley and his wife Martha of Hanover, William A. Conley and his wife Betty of East Sandwich and the late John J. Conley, Jr. and Patricia Ann Conley. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, November 26th at 11:00 A. M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial will follow at the Norton Common Cemetery in Norton.
