Inger E. (Hochrein) Orban, age 91, passed away on November 19, 2021 at Heritage Hall North, Agawam. She was born on May 27, 1930 in Essen, Germany, a daughter of the late Heinrich Karl and Wilhelmine Friederike (Tives) Hochrein. Inger was a parishioner of the former St George parish. Inger loved spending time with her family and adored her grandsons. She was always very caring and generous to her family and friends. Inger had a high attention to detail with maintaining her house and yard and truly enjoyed working on both. Inger met the love of her life, Joe, while working at the Nixon Company. She later worked as a customer service representative for the Wall Street Journal for many years before she retired. Inger is predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Orban, who passed away in 1990. She is survived by her son Paul C. Orban and his wife Lisa of Southwick, MA; one brother Paul Heinz Hochrein of Chicopee, MA and two beloved grandchildren, Alex C. Orban of Agawam, MA, and Tyler J. Orban of Southwick, MA. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021 from 9:30 – 10:30 at the Grise Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Anthony of Padua Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St Stanislaus Cemetery.
