Virginia Smith, 92, of Columbus, Georgia, died Sunday, November 21, 2021, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Salem Cemetery in Ben Hill County, Georgia, with the Rev. Blane Jacobs officiating.
Mrs. Smith was born May 9, 1929, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Alford Lovett & Tina White Reeves. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling, especially with her husband. She was a member of Britt David Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia.
She is survived by her children: Michael S. Smith (Linda) of Rebecca, Wayne M. Smith (Susan) of Rebecca, David L. Smith (Lynn) of Danville, Virginia and Melanie Cummings (Tommy) of Columbus; seven grandchildren: Michael Stephen Smith, Jr., Joseph David Smith, Matthew Wayne Smith, Ryan Christopher Howard, Christopher David Smith, Jeremy Daniel Smith and Jason Michael Smith and nine great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Esto Rinaldo Smith; five sisters and three brothers.
