CHICOPEE - David Rose, 56, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, November 19, 2021. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Merced, CA on January 30, 1965, a beloved son of the late George B. and Frances H. (Gawlik) Rose. He was raised in Tucson, Arizona and moved to Chicopee with his family at the age of 15, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and had lived in Chicopee for most of his life. He was employed with the City of Holyoke as a Custodian at Morgan Elementary School. David was a quiet, simple guy who enjoyed working on his tan, gardening, having friends visit and having a beer. He leaves his two loving brothers and his sister, Richard F. Rose of Washington and Walter J. Rose and Darlene Rose, both of Chicopee; his cherished nephews and nieces, Richard Rose, Jennifer, Matthew and Katherine Rose and Jonathan Rose and Alexandra Deleon; and his many dear extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving brother, George B. Rose, Jr. who was Called Home on July 13, 1988. His family will receive friends on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307) 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The funeral home parking lot is located in the rear. Masks are recommended for his services. His burial will be private at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee.
