Raymond J. “Ray of Sunshine” Jandreau, 60, of Derry, NH, passed away Saturday November 20, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born on October 7, 1961, in Lowell, MA, a son of the late Renaud and Barbara (Peloquin) Jandreau. Ray grew up in Lawrence, MA. His family moved to Salem, NH where he received his education and later attended Northern Essex Community College. Ray worked for NAPA Distribution Center for 31 years. He loved riding his motorcycle with his wife Deborah, his daughter Alex or alongside his son Justin, often taking trips to the beach. He also enjoyed riding with his friends whom he referred to as the Wild Hogs. Ray enjoyed playing cornhole, and was the family cornhole champion. He also enjoyed splitting and stacking wood in his yard. In October, he was able to celebrate his 60th birthday with his many family and friends, some of whom he had not seen in months. Ray was looking forward to being a Pepe' for the first time and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Deborah (Taylor) Jandreau of Derry; his daughter, Alexandra Nicole Jandreau of Derry; his son, Justin Michael Jandreau of Candia, NH; a brother, Kevin Jandreau and his wife Debra of Sandown, NH; his mother-in law Jeanne (McAvoy) Taylor of Derry, NH; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and extended family.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry with a funeral service to begin at 7pm in the funeral home. At the family’s request, face masks are required for those in attendance who are not fully vaccinated.
