Gloria J. Jewer

TEWKSBURY: Gloria J. (Sprague) Jewer, age 80, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 20, 2021.
She was the beloved wife of Robert F. Jewer, with who she celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on July 26, 2021.
Born in Freeport, Maine on July 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Sprague and the late Dorothea (Featherstone) Sprague.
Gloria was raised in Maine until moving to Tewksbury. She attended Tewksbury schools and Tewksbury Memorial High School. It was in Tewksbury that she met the love of her life and future husband, Robert and raised her family.
She enjoyed playing bingo at St. William’s Church every Friday, completing crossword puzzles, vacationing in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, reading, hiking, and taking walks with her husband around the neighborhood. During her vacations in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, she enjoyed hiking along the trails with her family including hiking Cannon Mountain on numerous occasions. She enjoyed her Thursday night tea with her best friend Marilyn. Gloria also enjoyed both cooking and baking and was well known for her talents of baking homemade pies every year along with her infamous chocolate cake and lasagna. Gloria will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Robert F. Jewer and his wife Michelle of Dracut, David W. Jewer and his partner Tammy of Tewksbury, Timothy W. Jewer and his wife Joyce of North Chelmsford, Loriann DeMambro and her husband Frank of Milford, NH and Karen L. Conway and her husband James of Burlington: eleven grandchildren, Ariel, Stephanie and Alicia Jewer, Arlana Marshall and her husband Joshua, Austin and Jessica Jewer, Dana, Gino and Lorelai DeMambro, Crystal Conway and Catryna Cloukey and her husband Peter: 11 great grandchildren: one brother, Ronald Sprague and his wife Susan of Brookline, NH.
Gloria was the sister of the late Richard F. Sprague.
Family and friends are invited to meet at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24 at the Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury for her graveside service.
