Catherine S. Geany, of Medford, in her 100th year, passed away on November 18th. . Beloved wife of the late James D. Geany. Devoted mother of John Geany and his late wife Jacquelyn of Danvers, Mary Fuschetti and her husband Raymond of Saugus, Filomena Geany of Arlington, VA and Raymond and James Geany of Medford. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Michelle, Kristin and John. Loving great grandmother of Ryan, James, Tyler and Andrew. Dear sister of Virginia Cobuccio of Medford and the late Josephine Rago, Theresa Jean, Stella Guarino and Vincenzo and Michael Bono. Beloved daughter of the late Raimondo and Filomena (Graffeo) Bono. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Catherine was raised and educated in the North End of Boston. She has been a resident of Medford since 1948. For several years, she worked at Johnny’s Foodmaster in Medford. She has been an active parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church for most of her life. She was a member of the Madonna Del Soccorso Society in Boston and was particularly devoted to the Madonna Del Soccorso and St. Anthony. First and foremost, Catherine was devoted to caring for and spending time with her family. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday November 29th at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted.
