Leta Fulginiti of Barnstable, formerly of Brockton, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. For 41 years she was the companion of Paul Murphy.
Born and raised in Brockton, Leta was a daughter of the late Domenic and Irene (Harding) Fulginiti. She was a 1965 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School. Following her graduation from Bridgewater State College, she began her teaching career in the Brockton school system as an art teacher. She retired in 2005 after 35 years with system.
Leta enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, interior decorating and sports. She looked forward to weekends at her home in Kennebunk, Maine, winters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and driving to interesting places.
Leta will be remembered as a warm person who loved her friends and would do anything for them. She doted on her beloved chow-chow dogs Kingsley and Brady.
Leta was the sister of the late Gail Fulginiti.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday November 30, 2021 in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street, Brockton from 4-7pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 1, at 9am for a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 10am. Burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
