Obituary

West Medford- Charles Henry Aston, Jr., age 88, died peacefully on July 26, 2002 at the Woburn Nursing Center in Woburn.

He was born in Medford on November 19, 1913 a son of the late Charles Henry Aston and Stella J. (Rogers) Aston. Charles was a resident of Medford since 1951 and a communicant of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Winchester. He was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1932, Hawthorne Business School in Salem, Class of 1934. Charles was employed as an operations manager for Anheuser-Busch for over 40 years. Charles enjoyed summering in New Hampshire and was a loyal member of the Mount Herman Lodge and an active member of the marching unit of Aleppo Shrine in Wilmington.

He married his beloved wife of 62 years, Marjorie (Sennett) Aston on April 12, 1940 in Beverly. Besides his wife, he leaves three children, Chad H. Aston and his wife Carol L. Armstrong of Westwood, Marcia and her husband James J. Fleming of Agawam and Kent W. and his wife Julia C. Aston of Saugus.

His funeral will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Wednesday evening, July 31, at 8 PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours, Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles’ memory may be made to the Shriners Burns Institute, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
