Of Su Tuon Tea known as "Goung"
November 11, 1936 – November 16, 2021
Su Tuon "Goung" Tea of Fall River, MA passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at his home surrounded by his love ones.
Mr. Tea was born in China on November 11, 1936. As a young man, he moved to Cambodia where he met Taing Chheng. Tea’s travels of many countries and continents provided him with the skills of speaking five languages fluently (Mandarin Chinese, Khmer, Vietnamese, English and Espanol)
Tea was a man of many hobbies, but nothing superseded his love and creativity for art, drawing and family fishing outings. His fashionable eye as a tailor allowed him to sew and create designs for close family members and friends.
Goung was a survivor of the Khmer Rouge, who escaped death and managed to get his family to the U.S. in the summer of 1984.
He was known as a handsome and gentle soul, who greeted everyone with a smile. To his family, he will forever be known as a man with strong will, and a passion for life.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and great granddad.
Su Tuon had four daughters (ChanTou, Lychheng, Vuthy, and SuTha) four sons (Bunly, Mington, Bun Pheng, and Bun Phan, four granddaughters, five grandsons with many more great grandkids.
Both family and close friends will miss him dearly.
Su Tuon "Goung" Tea’s services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held,
Monday, November 22, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. following calling hours from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River. Followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
