Gilmanton Iron Works --- Geraldine A. D’Ambrosio, 78, of Burke Road, died of heart disease on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Concord Hospital-Laconia.
Geraldine “Gerry” was born on November 26, 1942 in Somerville, MA, the daughter of the late Arthur and Alice (Osgood) Mitchell.
Gerry worked for Polaroid, BNY Mellon, and owned The Crafters Gallery with her husband John, where she proudly displayed her crafts under the name of Gold Thimble Crafts.
Her favorite hobbies were crafts, gardening and reading. She had such a green thumb when it came to plants and vegetables, once having over 100 house plants, and her vegetable gardens were known to produce so much they could feed a small town.
Gerry cherished spending time with her husband, either gardening, fishing or watching the Boston Celtics together, this was the time she enjoyed the most.
Geraldine is survived by her husband of 60 years, John D’Ambrosio; three daughters, Karen Melanson and her husband, Charles “Bill”, Nancy Goudreau and her husband, Brian, and Lisa Scally and her husband, Steven; two granddaughters, Alycia Rand and her husband Paul, and Emily Scally; her sister, Beverly Polk; and Beverly’s children Gary Polk, Denise Sanderson, Tommy Polk, Gregory Polk, and Jennifer Polk. In addition to her parents, she predeceased by her niece, Jessica Polk.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 1:30pm at Smith Meeting House Cemetery in Gilmanton, NH.
