WEST SPRINGFIELD – Carolyn A. (Blanchard) Maryea, 81, of West Springfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 13, 2021. She was born in Gardner on March 4, 1940, the beloved daughter of the late Norman Blanchard, Sr. and Elsie (Taylor) Blanchard. She was raised in West Springfield and graduated from West Springfield High School. She lovingly raised her family in Chicopee, while working at the old Big Y on Meadow Street in the Willimansett section of Chicopee. Additionally, she was employed at the offices of Dairy Mart, Inc. and K & L Concrete. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Clifford Maryea in 2018, after 58 years of marriage and her infant son, Kevin, in 1963. She was the beloved mother of Cynthia Charbonneau (Marc Charbonneau), Kenneth Maryea (Joanne Lacasse Maryea), Kimberly Maryea Deane (Scott Deane) and William Maryea (Sharon Carver Maryea) and the dear grandmother of Eric, Evan, Cameron, Connor and Lauren Maryea. She will be missed by her brother-in-law, George Maryea, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members, as well as very dear, close friends. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. which will be followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family requests that masks be worn for her services. Her burial will be private at Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield.
