Margaret L. Cudd, 91, of Worcester died Thursday, November 11th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. Her husband of 63 years, James C. Cudd died in 2016. She leaves a sister, Ruth E. Oden of Texas; several nieces and nephews including, Kathleen Pigeon, Eileen Kontaxi, Pauline William and Mary Frates; and many great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was born in Cuero, Texas the daughter of Thomas J. and Julia (Kuchler) Scott and graduated from the Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Margaret was a nurse for 36 years at Worcester City Hospital, retiring in 1989. Mrs. Cudd was a long-time member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her husband camping and traveling throughout the United States.
Her funeral is Saturday, November 20th at 10:00 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Margaret’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
