Obituary

Rebecca Jean Collier, age 36 died unexpectedly at home on November 3, 2021.

Becky was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras where she was adopted in 1985 by Deborah Collier and Lawrence Collier (deceased). From the beginning, Becky was someone who was full of life. As a child, she made herself known through her words, her singing, her laughter and her energy. Later, she put her words into poetry which expressed her deeper thoughts. As time passed, Becky struggled with many medical issues that sometimes kept her from being as active as she wanted to be. Yet Becky was a survivor, determined to make the best of whatever obstacles she was dealt. The road was not always easy, but she continued to sing and laugh through the hard times. Becky prayed and held a strong belief that God was always with her, guiding her to the right path. She was active in her church and loved the time she spent teaching the children about faith.

Becky always had many friends and her favorite times were those spent with them. Hampton Beach was one of her favorite places where she could run and laugh with the waves. She loved music and dancing and was known to “light up the room” at a gathering of friends. In quiet times, she fished in the river, finding peace in nature. Becky was compassionate. She loved the elderly and had jobs that led her to serving and caring for them. They appreciated her gentleness and her respect as she always treated them with dignity. Becky was a lover of animals, especially her cats Willow and Jasmine. She took great comfort in their affection and laughed at their endless antics. They were good company when she came home.

Becky was well loved by her grandparents who have predeceased her; Helen and Raymond Molling, and Norman Collier. She is survived by her paternal grandmother, Marie Collier. She leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of the family as well as her stepmother, Jean Collier. She also leaves the broken hearts of her mother, Deborah Collier of Windsor, Ct., her brother Ray and wife Elizabeth Rapalo of NH, and her brother Brian and his wife Lindsay Collier of NH. Becky was thrilled to meet her first nephew Barrett Collier and will be watching over him and his brother, baby Brooks, from heaven.

Becky had a profound effect on everyone she met. Her life ended much too soon. Though we cannot make sense of it, we try to carry on with the faith that Becky showed us. Her strength and determination was to be admired and her laughter and singing an example of pure joy. She will be missed in this world and held tightly in the next. Fly high, our guardian angel. You have earned your wings.

Family will have a private celebration of life for Becky. Donations may be made in her honor to Centro Medico la Amistad, Friendship Medical Centre in Honduras serving 30 villages at the following address:
