Paula Diane Butterfield, 78, of Derry, NH, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the Derry Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Derry. She was born on December 17, 1942 in Derry, a daughter of the late Ernest and Elmira Catherine (Picard) Butterfield.
She is survived by her four sisters, Nancy Butterfield of Derry, Gloria Scott of Windham, NH, Valary Carr of Brookfield, VT, and Ernestine Moore of Manchester, NH, her brother, Joe Butterfield, Derry; as well as many nieces and nephews.
On November 9, 2021, Paula went home to God. In her life she was one of eight children, she attended local schools and was a communicant of the Episcopal church of the Transfiguration. Dispute many setbacks with health issues, Paula devoted her life as a caregiver to her brother with special needs and to her family. She was an awesome cook and had a cool sense of humor. The biggest love in life was to travel taking many trips but her favorite was to Holland Michigan to the Tulip festival always enjoying the tulips-her favorite flower. Often she would travel alone but always making friends along the way. She will be greatly missed by family in particular her life long companion her sister Nancy and her brother Joe. She was selfless with a beautiful soul. She will be missed by all who knew her. Job well done, Life well lived.
There are no calling hours. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 18th at 1:00pm in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry, NH. Mask usage is at the discretion of the attendee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
