Nancy J. (Francis) Babineau, 89, of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Care One of New Bedford. Born in Westport, she was daughter of the late Wilfred N. and Annie (Pacheco) Francis. Prior to retirement, she worked as a CNA for many years. While living in Florida she worked as an advocate for Seniors vs. Crime Organization.
Survivors include her children: Donna Cabral and her husband Leonard of Lakeland, FL, Robert Hinckley and his wife Kelly of Acushnet, Pamela Mello of New Bedford, Lisa Girard and her husband Ron of Hyannis and Chris Babineau and his wife Yumiko of Honolulu, HI; 3 brothers: Joseph Francis, Wilfred Francis and John Francis; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Arthur Babineau and sister of the late Mary Tavares and Helen Lamontagne.
Memorial visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the Kirby Funeral Home from 2 - 4 P.M.
The family is asking that everyone kindly wear a mask if attending, masks will be provided if needed.
Funeral services will be private.
