Mr. Clifford R. Quick, 74, of Medford passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021, at MelroseWakefield Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kellogg, Iowa on September 6, 1947, the son of the late Ernest and Claribel (Kinney) Quick. Mr. Quick was a graduate of Southeast Polk High School and served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return he worked as a flooring installer for many years, most recently for AJ Hubbard & Sons in Medford before retiring. He was a member of the Elks Lodge BPOE 1435 in Arlington, MA and the First Baptist Church in Medford.
Cliff enjoyed camping, golfing, and bowling but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. He was an avid sports fan, rooting for all the New England teams. Cliff always had a smile on his face and was willing to lend a helping hand. He was devoted to his family and friends and will be dearly missed. Cliff is the widower of Carmela (DiLorenzo) Quick and is survived by one son: Thomas R. Quick and his wife Julie of Haverhill, one daughter: Jennifer A. and her husband Sven Overberg of Medford, two sisters: Vera and her husband Asa Richardson of Runnells, IA, Patricia Allen of Des Moines, IA and one brother: Richard Quick of Altoona, IA. There are three grandchildren: Christopher, Gabriel and Hunter and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beals, Geake, and Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Ave. Medford, A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Medford, burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
