Filomena (Magno) Tenaglia, lifelong resident of Medford, passed away on Monday, November 8th. She was 83. Born in Orsogna, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy, she was the cherished daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia (Scenna) Magno.
Filomena enjoyed cooking for her family. Her Italian delicacies were made from scratch and were absolutely delicious. She loved to see her family gather around the kitchen table devouring her homemade sauce, meatballs, lasagna and her famous rum cake. A favorite memory of her three sons’ was helping her jar her homemade sauce (they would each receive a case to bring home). When Filomena was not cooking, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world.
Filomena was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Tenaglia. She was the devoted mother of Ralph Tenaglia and his wife Regina, Mario Tenaglia and his wife Pam, and Anthony Tenaglia. She was the loving Nonni of Rachel, Gabriella, Ross, Victoria, Christopher, Lyla and Alexa, and the great Nonni of Leo.
Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday, November 19th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, November, 18th from 4 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
