Ruben Francisco Hernandez, 33, of Saticoy, California, passed away on the evening of October 29, 2021.
Ruben was born May 23, 1988 in Ventura, California. He was the oldest of 7 siblings.
Ruben grew up in Saticoy. He loved watching his Raiders play, playing Tupac music, barbequing, spending time with family and friends and traveling to new places. He enjoyed going to old school concerts with his mom and trying to beat his great gramps in pool. He loved the great outdoors and hiking. Ruben had a big heart, a big beautiful smile and a great laughter that brought smiles to many.
Growing up in Saticoy played a huge impact for Ruben. There was so much history and great memories with family and friends there. He was so family oriented that he considered many of his friends from Saticoy and Ventura as family. To his family he will always be known as “Daddy” and to his great gramps as "Arnold" and to his friends “Ferbie” and to his siblings as “Moms favorite baby boy.”
He recently had started the mechanic program at Ventura College and was so excited to be starting a new career. We had never seen him so excited about taking tests, doing homework and bragging to his family and friends how happy he was. He was so proud to wear his VC Mechanic shirt. He wanted to work for Toyota as a mechanic specialist. His mother was so proud of his accomplishments. Ruben loved living his life to the fullest but, the most important thing that he loved the most was his children. He cherished every moment with them and they brought so much love and joy to his heart. He couldn’t wait to spend time with them. He was so proud of them. They meant the world to him.
Son you will be forever in my heart and I will miss you dearly. I will always cherish every moment we spent together, our special memories we had, your big beautiful smile & you telling me you love me. I promise to remind your boys how much you loved them. I love you always son…My forever RCRVERR7
Ruben is survived by his loving mother Viva Hernandez & his dad Ruben Hernandez. His children Ruben, Michael, Anthony & Jonathan Hernandez. Sisters, Crystal Abrams (David) & Evangelina Hernandez, brothers Ricardo, Victor, Roman and Raymond Hernandez. Great grandparents Manuel Melendez & Margarita Sanchez. Grandparents Irma Hernandez and Ruben & Rosa Hernandez. Many aunts & uncles, nephews and cousins.
Ruben proceeded in death by his grandfather Francisco “Frank” Hernandez, great grandparents Macario and Guadalupe Hernandez, uncle Ricardo Hernandez and many loved aunts and uncles that were dear to him.
Celebration of Life will be on Saturday November 13, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Boyko & Reardon Telegraph Road Mortuary & Cremation, 15 Teloma Dr. Ventura, CA 93003. Burial to follow at Ivy lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Rd. Ventura, CA 93003.
