Jeanette C. “GG” Fletcher, 83, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, November 8, 2021, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Pine Level Cemetery, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, with Pastor Larry Davis and the Rev. Ricky Kellum officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Fletcher was born July 23, 1938 in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Paul E. & Mae Hulett Cunningham. She lived in the community all of her life. Mrs. Fletcher worked for Lowell Packing in the packing room, Dixie Peanut as a peanut grader, Hudson Pecan and was also a CNA at the Harris House. Mrs. Fletcher loved her grandchildren who, along with many others, called her “GG”. She enjoyed quietly serving people and had a ministry of feeding others. She was a member of Open Gates Ministry and also attended Abundant Life Pentecostal Worship Center.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Joe T. Fletcher of Fitzgerald; her children: Louie Fletcher & Jean of Fitzgerald, Wiley Fletcher & Lisa of Fitzgerald and Teresa Royal & Joe of Ocilla; grandchildren: Michelle & Eddie Culpepper, Lucinda Fletcher, Breanna Fletcher, Nancy Long, Heather Vittitow & Jeremy, Aaron Fletcher & Taylor; great-grandchildren: Hayden Vittitow, Savannah Vittitow, Bretley Fletcher, Troy Long and Carly Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wylie Cunningham and two sisters: Jackie Smith and Betty Bussell.
