Obituary

Louis F. Rousseau, 99, of Dartmouth, peacefully passed away at home on Friday, November 5, 2021 with his family by his side. He was the husband of Lorraine L. (Montigny) Rousseau, they shared 40 years of marriage.

Mr. Rousseau was born in New Bedford, son of the late Louis A. and Isabelle M. (Delemont) Rousseau and had resided in Dartmouth since 1948. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the U.S. Navy. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a postal worker for the USPS in Dartmouth and New Bedford for 35 years. Mr. Rousseau was a member of Grace Gospel Church, Somerset. He enjoyed wintering in LA where he made many friends through attending Glad Tidings Church. He will be remembered as a family man who enjoyed the simple things in life.

Survivors along with his wife include his 2 sons: David Rousseau of Dartmouth and Matthew Rousseau of Dartmouth; 2 step-daughters: Jonilyn Chapman of LA and Stephanie Richard of Dartmouth; and 2 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his twin brother, Leo Rousseau.

Services will be private.
