Frank Fasano, 93

Frank Fasano, age 93, formerly of Mansfield and Canton, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the home of his daughter in Bristol, NH. He was the beloved husband of the late Mafalda “Miffy” (Renzella) Fasano, to whom he was married for 56 years at the time of her death on December 14, 2007.

He was born on March 28, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York and was the loving son of the late Antonio and Josephine Ciampa. Frank and his family moved to the West End of Boston and eventually to Roslindale.

After graduating from Roslindale High School in 1945 he worked for his father as a furniture maker and then an upholsterer until he joined the Army in 1948. Mr. Fasano was stationed in Würzburg Germany during the allied occupation and aided in the clean-up effort after WWII. On leave he was married before returning to serve during the start of the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge from the Army in 1951, Mr. Fasano continued his upholstering business until his retirement in 2004.

While raising his family in Canton he was a member of the American Legion and the Canton Town Club. He and his family hosted several students from Holland while they were traveling abroad who to this day share a close bond with his family.

He is survived by his devoted children, Linda DiNatale and her fiancé Richard Jankowski of Bristol, NH and Robert Fasano and his wife Janet Fasano of Mansfield. He also leaves behind two loving grandsons, Jason and Chris Fasano. He was the dear brother of David Fasano of Norwood, Rita Smith of Bridgewater, the late Robert Fasano and is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, November 9th from 5:00-8:00PM at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

His funeral service will take place at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home on Wednesday November 10th at 10:00 A.M. Burial with military honors will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
