Obituary

Orvin Harold Brenden, 89 of Tewksbury, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the widower of the late Virginia Faith (Dyson) Brenden who passed away in 2019 after 65 years of marriage.

He was born in Seattle, Washington on January 7, 1932 and was a son of the late Orvin Edwin Brenden and the late Eva Thylene (Carney) Brenden. He was raised in Seattle, but moved to Tewksbury, MA after his marriage to Virginia.

In 1950, Mr. Brenden enlisted with the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War until his honorable discharge as Sergeant in 1954.

He met his wife Virginia while stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA. They were married on December 12th, 1953. After spending two years in Seattle, they moved back to Massachusetts with their then 2 year old daughter and raised their family on the east coast.

Orvin was a member of the Masonic Temple and was a Master Mason for 45 years. He and Ginger enjoyed biking, cross country skiing, and traveling the world together. He learned how to play the piano at a young age and loved playing quietly for his family every evening.

He leaves three children, his daughter, Linda Palmer and her husband Brian of Tuftonboro, NH, and their children, Matthew Powers and his wife Amanda, Michael Palmer, and Madison Palmer all of NH, his daughter, Susan Reardon and her husband James of Pepperell, and their children, Jennifer Price and her husband Jason, of NH, Eric Reardon, and his son, Alan Brenden and his wife Patricia "Tricia" (Cooney) of Tewksbury and Dania Beach, FL, and their son, Adam Brenden and his wife Melissa of Acton, MA ; six great-children (Logan, Cameron, Jaden, Molly, Emily, and Ella). Orvin was predeceased by his brother, Dale Brenden.

At the request of the family, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association of MA, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452 will be appreciated.
