Obituary

EAST BROOKFIELD: Anthony R. DiBara,94, of E.Brookfield, died Thursday, Nov. 4 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge after being stricken ill at home.
He was the husband of Irene T. (Trahan) DiBara who died in 2007. He leaves his son Russell A. DiBara of E.Brookfield with whom he lived, his daughters Marie L. DiBara of Spencer and Helen I. King of E.Brookfield, his sister Dolly Laurence of Worcester, 8 grandchildren; Anthony, Angela, Amy, Jason, Catherine, Colleen, Casey and Janica, 6 great grandchildren; Nicholas, Sofia, Ava, Haley, Everliegh and EllaRae, nieces and nephews.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Matteo and Mary (Ianolli) DiBara and later served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Tony was a longtime business owner in E.Brookfield. He owned a fruit and vegetable stand, ran Trahan's Variety, and catering trucks for many years.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 9 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr.,Spencer with a Mass at 10 am. in St. John the Baptist Church, No. Brookfield Rd., E.Brookfield. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Monday, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The family requests that masks or face coverings be worn for all of the services. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
