Robert R. “Andy” Anderson, age 69, of Norton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. He was the beloved thirty-six-year companion of Lori Allison of Norton.
Born in Norwood, MA on February 6, 1952, he was a loving son of the late Robert A. and Anne L. (Richner) Anderson.
Andy grew up in Walpole and was a 1970 graduate of Walpole High School. He had made his home in Norton for the past forty-nine years and since 1990, was the proud owner of Anderson Construction & Excavation, Inc., a business he ran successfully, along with the help of his dedicated family.
Andy’s family and friends were always the center of his attention. He enjoyed entertaining at his home, around the pool and especially at his “famous Fourth of July parties”. He loved the outdoors which included camping and fishing and had a special place in his heart for animals. Andy will always be fondly remembered for his strong work ethics, his remarkable sense of humor and more than anything else for his larger-than-life stature.
In addition to Lori, he was the devoted father of Robert M. Anderson and his wife Kerri of Wrentham and the late Max R. Anderson, who recently passed away on June 1, 2021. He was the cherished grandfather of Jaydan Anderson, Riley Anderson and Austin Anderson. He was the dear brother of Joan Anderson of Alabama, the late John “Jack” Anderson and was the treasured uncle of Andrew Anderson and Ashley Anderson.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours in celebration of his life on Saturday, November 20th from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
