Anna (Raposa) Arruda, 88, of Westport, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Fall River Jewish Home. She was the wife of the late James R. Arruda.
Born in Westport, daughter of the late John L. and Margaret (Couto) Raposa, she was a lifelong resident of Westport. Mrs. Arruda was an avid gardener and she enjoyed antique shopping, bird watching and spending time at the ocean. Most of all, she was dedicated to her family.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Nancy Arruda of Westport and Susan Arruda of Westport; a brother: William Raposa of Tiverton; 4 sisters: her twin sister, Helen Gallant of Attleboro, Alice Tucker of Fall River, Patricia Monfils of Rehoboth and Margaret Raposa of MA; 2 grandchildren: David D'Orlando and Sarah Carrelas; 2 great grandchildren: Brady Carrelas and Raeghan Carrelas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late John Raposa and Charles Raposa.
At the family's request all services will be private.
