Obituary

Stanley Bernard Syngay, 84, of Franklin, died peacefully on November 4 with his family beside him at his home. He was the husband of Donna (Kaczynska) Syngay for the past 56 years.

Born in Boston, June 11, 1937, the son of the late Felix and Sophie (Kuczynski) Syngay, Mr. Syngay was a lifelong Franklin resident.

Stanley had worked for the Garelick Farms Milk Company for over 30 years before retiring in 1997. He had previously worked for the Kayem Company in Chelsea and the Colonial Provisions Company in Boston.

Stanley was also a farmer and helped to work the family farm selling vegetables, eggs and hay.

Stanley was a talented man who would and could do just about anything he tried. Whether it was woodworking, making furniture, bee keeping, gardening, baking, driving his boat or flying his airplane, Stanley would try anything. His homemade kielbasa was legendary among family and friends. He was very proud of his Polish heritage.

He served in the Navy during the late 1950’s attaining the rank of E-3.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters, Barbara Jasinski and her husband Steven of Franklin, Sue Brumbaugh and her husband Wayne of Norfolk and Lisa Lagos and her husband John of Millis.

He is also survived by his brother Edward Syngay of Franklin and was the brother of the late Helen Ceurvels.

Stanley is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicholas and Julia Jasinski and Alex and Alanna Brumbaugh, as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 9 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 11:00 a.m.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
