Obituary

Armstrong, Patricia Anne (Wagner) November 2, 2021. Patricia (Pat) was born in Baltimore, MD. She attended Mount St. Agnes high school in Baltimore where she was a star swimmer and four-year varsity softball player. She earned her B.A. in sociology at Mount St. Agnes College and earned her Master’s degree in outdoor education from Boston University in 1968.

Pat served as a district director for the Campfire Girls before having her children. A lover of animals, she had a small farm on Cape Cod where she kept her beloved horses, dogs, cats and other adored critters. She was active in her community, volunteering as a 4-H leader, youth group organizer and grant-writer for substance abuse programming on Cape Cod. Pat deeply valued her long-term friendships from high school, college and beyond. She enjoyed gardening, boating and was always happy to sit on the beach. In her later years, she joined the loving community of Traditions of Wayland where she was able to become a regular fan at her grandsons’ nearby baseball and football games.

Pat was the devoted and proud grandmother (and first baseball coach) of Oliver and Holden Ferrari of Dover, MA. She is also survived by her daughter Mary French of Portland, ME, her daughter Laura Ferrari and son-in-law Ethan Ferrari of Dover, MA, her brother Robert Wagner of Ocean City, MD and his children Robin Schinnick and Drew Wagner. She is lovingly remembered by other members of her extended and blended family.
