Esthermay Sonya (Sarah) Coppess, 81 of Pendleton died November 4, 2021 at her daughter's residence after a brief illness.
She was born May 2, 1940 in Anderson, the daughter of George and Mary Sarah. She worked production at Guide Lamp for more than 25 years. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Community Church in Muncie. She was a member of the Sparklers Home Economics Club. She enjoyed wintering in Sebring, Florida. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Jack (Randy) Coppess, Jr. of Anderson; Kerrie (Bill) Griffis and Shelly (Mike) Roberts all of Pendleton; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, whom she married February 23, 1957, Jack Lee Coppess died in 2017 the love of her life and her grandson, Nolan Edgreen.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at East Maplewood Cemetery with Dr. Mike Hamm officiating.
