Obituary

James D. King, 48, of Harvard Ave., Medford, Mass., died November 19, 2001 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born in Somerville, Mass. on November 4, 1953, a son of the late Kevin and Irene (Russell) King Sr. He was a resident of Medford, Mass. for the past five years, formerly living in Derry, NH and Somerville, Mass. Mr. King attended Somerville High School in Somerville, Mass. He served 10 years with the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam era. He was employed with the Teamsters Local #82 for 15 years and with the Freeman Corp. in Boston, Mass. He is survived by four sisters, Cecelia Chicoine, Sheila Silva both of Derry, NH, Irene Rose of Conn., Cheryl Sacco of Florida, two brothers, Kevin King Jr. of Derry, NH, Robert McGonagle Jr. of Tewksbury, Mass., stepfather, Robert (wife Ann) McGonagle Sr. of Somerville, Mass., his girlfriend, Maureen Leo of Medford, Mass., numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24th at 1:30 in the Holy Cross Church, E. Derry, NH. Friends may call at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH on Friday, November 23rd from 4 – 7. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 26th at 11:00 at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., NH Affiliate, 20 Merrimack St., Suite 1, Manchester, NH 03101-2244.
