Worcester: Robert C. Kincaid, 83, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus. He leaves a daughter Robin Hearne and her husband John of NC; sons Sean C. Kincaid of ME and Robert Kincaid and his wife Patty of Leominster; a former daughter-in-law Christine Kincaid of Worcester; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Ellen E. (Lehto) Kincaid, grandsons Christopher and Bobby, and by a sister Paula Zuidema.
Bob was born in Boston, son of the late Robert O. and Ethel C. (Nelson) Kincaid. He attended high school in Worcester and proudly served his country in the US Navy as a radio man on the USS Keppler. He worked as a folding machine operator in the printing industry for over 50 years, retiring at the age of 81. Bob was an avid sports fan and had a passion for sharing his love of hockey. He was a well-known and successful youth hockey coach, traveling throughout the northeast and Canada. The highlight of his coaching career was coaching his son and teammates to win the Mass State Championship in 1977.
Bob never met a stranger. He loved to meet new people, tell stories and laugh and he will be missed by his family and friends.
A graveside funeral service and burial will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Salvation Army Worcester Citadel.
