Obituary

Virginia Mae Frick (Sheridan)
July 30, 1928 - October 29, 2021, age 93
Virginia, who went by Mae her entire life, peacefully passed away after a lengthy illness. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was born in Lead, South Dakota to John Phillip Francis Sheridan and Helen Wilhelmina Walkling. She moved to San Diego at a young age and graduated from high school there. She met her husband, C. Walter Frick, who was in the Navy at the time. They moved to Ventura in 1959 and had been residents ever since.
She was a loyal Dodger fan for many years. Even though she had significant vision problems, she tuned in to hear the Dodgers every day that they played. She enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, taking care of her home and family. She was a faithful volunteer at VCMC for many years. She especially enjoyed the Christmas season and family gatherings. She was a resident at the Bonaventure retirement community for the last several years and developed many friendships there.
She leaves behind her son, Gary M. Frick, O.D. and his wife Lori (Fraser), of Ventura; her daughter, Sandra Coultas and her husband, Robert, of Santa Paula; grandchildren: Alison Harnden, her husband, Bret, their children, Katelyn and Kacie, of Shingle Springs, CA; Matt W. Frick, his wife, Stephanie(Azevedo) and their son, Michael S. Frick, of Hollister, CA; and Daniel Coultas, his wife, Danielle (Deems), and their children, Jackson and Owen, of Ventura; and her brother, Bill Schutt, of Santee, CA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Walter Frick; her sister, Helen Hoisington; and her grandsons: Michael Thomas Frick and Timothy Robert Coultas.
The family is forever grateful to the medical staff at CMH, Ventura County Medical Center, and Livingston Memorial Hospice for their care and devotion and through her final days. Private Funeral Services will be scheduled in the future.
In lieu of flowers, please consider an act of kindness or supporting your favorite charity in her honor.
