Obituary

Margaret T. “Peg” Dooley (McDonald) age 94, passed away suddenly on October 30th.
Born and raised in Newton, Peg was the daughter of John and Margaret (Hamrock) McDonald. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and then spent several summers on Cape Cod where she met her husband Bill. Bill and Peg lived throughout Massachusetts before settling in Canton in the late 1950’s. They were active parishioners at St. Gerard Majella Church where Peg also served as a Eucharistic minister and a past member of the Canton Catholic Women’s Club. After moving closer to St. John the Evangelist, Peg continued her faithful worship there.
Peg enjoyed years of golf at Ponkapoag, many laughs at the Canton Senior Center, old friends from “the neighborhood”, new friends at Forge Pond and Cornerstone and most of all, time with her large and loving family. Her easy-going, positive outlook and quick wit was welcomed and treasured by all she met.
