Dolores M. (Keefe) Regan died on October 27, 2021, in Chelmsford after a long illness. She was the wife of Robert E. Regan, who predeceased her.
Born October 3, 1933 in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Keefe and late Margaret V. (Miller) (Shea) Keefe of Lowell.
She attended Lowell schools, including St. Peter’s school and Lowell High school, where she graduated in 1950. She moved to Chelmsford in 1955, where she raised her family and enjoyed time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Robert E. Regan, Jr. of N. Chelmsford; 5 daughters and 3 sons in law, Mr. and Mrs. Don (Mary) Castonguay of Chelmsford, Ms. Margaret (Peggy) Regan of Hudson, NH, Mr. and Mrs. Chris (Ellen) Lombardi of Salem, NH, Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Judy) Bourque, Jr. of Nashua, NH, and Ms. Patricia Regan of Hudson, NH.
She was the loving grandmother to eight grandchildren, Nicole Castonguay of Chelmsford; Bryan Castonguay and wife, Allison of Salem NH, Stephanie Russo and her husband, Rich of Windham, NH, Michael Lombardi and his wife, Amber of Portland, Maine, Steven Lombardi and his wife, Jennifer of Woburn, Laura Bourque and her fiancé, Scott Sattler of South Hadley, Jillian Bourque of Portsmouth, NH and Paul Bourque III of Nashua, NH; and great grandmother to Lucas and Lincoln Castonguay and Benjamin and Elliana Russo.
She was the sister of the late Edward, Thomas and Eileen Shea and the late Frances (Keefe) McGrath and the late Catherine (Keefe) Zaker. She was the sister in-law of Michael Sousa of East Chelmsford and Leslie Regan of Lowell. The sister in-law of the late Richard Zaker, John McGrath, Allen Regan, Nancy (Regan) Stott and husband, George (Mike) Stott, and a dear aunt, Ruby Regan. She was also an aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral and burial were held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the charity of choice.
