Margaret M. “Peggy” (Daly) Bedard 72, a longtime resident of Whitman, died Thursday October 28 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of forty-three years to Timothy Bedard.
Born and raised in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late James and Margie Daly.
Peggy had been a resident of Whitman, for over forty-three years where she and her husband raised their two children. Before staying home to be with her children Margaret had worked 13 years as a secretary for Boston Edison, and in later years as secretary for the Sha’aray Shalom Temple of Hingham.
She enjoyed traveling, loved boating and the beach, and the time she spent crafting.
In addition to her loving husband Timothy, she is survived by her children Joseph Bedard (US Army) of Florida and Michelle Bedard of Whitman, and her brothers James Daly of Dartmouth and John Daly of NH. She was predeceased by her brother Daniel Daly.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Sunday Nov. 7 from 4-7 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman and her funeral services on Monday Nov. 8 at 9:45 AM from the Chapel, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the Holy Ghost Church. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, Holbrook
