David J. “Dave” Meaney, Jr., of Revere, formerly of Somerville, passed away on October 27th. He was 85. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the cherished son of the late David J. and Mary M. (McCaigue) Meaney. David enlisted into the United States Army, and was honorably discharged in the summer of 1962.
Dave was the loving companion of the late Barbara Ringdahl. He was the dear brother of Anne F. Droege of Manchester, NH., John R. Meaney and his wife Judith of Revere, Kathleen P. Santini and her husband Oreste of Scottsdale, AZ., and the late Mary Pettee and her late husband Paul, Joseph Meaney and brother in-law Mike Droege. He was the former husband and friend of Virginia Meaney of Somerville. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday, November 5th, at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St., Revere, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Late United States Army Veteran.
