Mark Stephen Schiavone, age 54, of Winchester passed away on Thursday, October 28th. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Francis Schiavone and Diana (Dennehy) McKanas. Mark worked as a contractor with projects all around the North Shore. He was one of the last of the “Old School Guys”: He was hard working and lived a simple life. Mark would give you the shirt off his back and was a dedicated family man.
Mark was the beloved husband of Beverly Richards, and the devoted father of Michael Schiavone and his wife Katie of Marlboro, Jennifer Faye of Quincy, and Stephen Faye Jr. and his wife Karen of Florida. He was the loving grandfather of Stephen and Brianna Faye, and the dear brother of Michael Schiavone and his wife Maureen, Jeanine Burkhart and her late husband David, Frank Schiavone Jr., Dorreen Schiavone and her partner Doreen Donohue, David Schiavone, Kenneth Schiavone, Stephen Schiavone and his wife Cheryl, Michelle Schiavone and Kelly McKanas. Mark is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and his beloved dog Emma.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 1st in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, from 5 through 8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. Mark’s family requests that flowers be omitted and expressions of sympathy be sent in the form of donations to Rosie's Place, 889 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118.
