Gary Lee Detling, 72, of Anderson died at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born January 5, 1949, the son of the late Robert and Elsie Lorene Detling.
He was a fork truck driver for 30 years at Guide Lamp. He loved to fish and go to the piers in Panama City Beach, Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy Lynn Detling; two sons, Terry (Chantell) Detling and Jamie (Trista) Detling; two brothers, Richard (Carol) Detling, Randy (Brenda) Detling, sister-in-law, Barb Montgomery; four grandchildren, Rylan and Delaney Detling and Adrianna and Jayden Foutch; six nieces and nephews, Richie, Shannon, Cary, Dorenda, Meagan and Kelli.
There will be no visitation or service.
