Bruce Allen Excell, age 75 of Benton City, entered into rest on October 22, 2021 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. He was born on September 14, 1946 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Robert and Vera (Freeze) Excell. He was raised and educated in California. Bruce serviced his country in the US Army from February 1966 thru January, 1968. He made his home in Prosser in 1976 until moving to Benton City in the mid 80’s. Bruce and Kimberly Jo Warren were married on February 4, 1989 in Richland.
Bruce worked for GTE and then Verizon, retiring after 34 years.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Kimberly of Benton City; his children, Theresa Excell of Denver, Colorado, Michael Excell and Regina Excell, both of Benton City, David Excell of Elmira, New York, Brandon Excell of Longview, Washington and Ronald Excell of Richland; step-son, Jason Warren; brother, Greg Excell of Denton, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Excell; and son Daniel (David’s twin), who died shortly after birth.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 until 2:00 on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Prosser Funeral Home.
